Buenos Dias.....or noches! Wild stab in the dark here...We are setting up for an upcoming battle event within the guild. It'll help to recruit members while giving current members a good time. Prizes are included!!! Any suggestions as to the format or prizes of the event are greatly appreciated and will be taken into consideration. We will also be taking donations for the guild fund which is a second account that will be used like an accounting....account (for lack of a better word) and possibly a guild bank. In addition, please tell your friends about us (and some of your enemies!) We are recruiting members!! The more the merrier!!

When we set up battles, we should specify the levels, number of pokemons to use and the rules of the battle like items or no switch outs etc.

Any competition or tournament requires a set of rules. For convenience, the minimum level will be 30, and the maximum level will be 50. This is perhaps the most standard requirement in terms of level ranges. As for the number of pokemon, it will depend on us. Standard pokemon roster is either 3v3 or 6v6. As for the actual combat rules, competitive battling disallows the use of items and switch outs. Legendaries are strictly prohibited in any competition event. In casual battling, switch outs are allowed, and if we really want to have a freestyle competition type, items can be allowed.
From here on out, we are hoping to host casual battling, and for those who are up for a challenge, competitive battling will also take place. Just about anyone in this team can host their own event. All they have to do is specify the ruleset. Later, I will post up an example of a ruleset. The subject of prizes is totally determined by the competition host. If it is an event hosted by the staffs, ourselves, then the prizes are usually rare items, rare pokemon, shiny pokemon, and special trained pokemon. We'll see how this ends up in the future.
Blurry made a good point about guild funds. Yes, guild funds are not only used for financial assistance, but they are used to assist others who are in need of quick cash. The guild funds are also used for the guild warehouse (more detail about that later).
